Blizzard Emergency buffet part 2

Wow, that sure was a lot of snow. I live close to work and got stuck twice on the way in. Our food deliveries for the day were mostly cancelled, at least eight food and beverage employees called out in the lodge, the food truck for Care center dining had to be dug out before we could deliver breakfast. So many employees went above and beyond to help us that I was actually a little dumbstruck. Thanks to all of you for being flexible with the buffets and with the limited takeout menu.

Of course it is still snowing as of 3 pm on Thursday, schools have cancelled once again and while I feel like the plows have caught up with some of the snow we already have staff indicating that they will not be in. The morning commute will be pretty treacherous if all that slush freezes and many of our staff have children that will be home. The weather forecast is another 2-4 inches overnight, hopefully finishing up by noon Friday. Do I think it will be a better day than Thursday? Yes, but I really can't be sure and I would rather make the call early than have to backtrack with a last minute change. We are going to do another day of buffets, and be pleasantly surprised if all our staff arrive.

Here are the menus for Friday. We are doing the limited takeout again, it is a pre packed bag lunch with a drink included. Pick it up in The Hive Market anytime after 11.

I will follow up with a Culinary Corner Post on Sunday, but If I don't see you I hope you have a fun St. Patrick's Day!
