Emergency Dining menus for Thursday!!

This is the only take away food available besides the Hive Market

Ok, so one of the wonderful thigs about living in Colorado is that we get to experience all kinds of weather from Bright sunny days to big snow storms. Not nearly as much fun is that we have to be flexible and creative sometimes to deal with those weather fluctuations.

As of 3:25 today the national Weather Service is predicting seventeen inches of snow tomorrow. This will cause all sorts of logistical nightmares for us, including delivery trucks being cancelled, snow removal, but biggest of all is that we have to plan on many of our staff not being here at all. Area Schools are closed, including all day care and preschools and the weather service is strongly discouraging unnecessary travel. Young people are often nervous about driving in conditions like these and as a parent I fully understand why many of them will stay home.

To streamline service we are switching both lunch and dinner to Buffets. Yes, I know we are already doing a lot of buffets, sometimes things are beyond our control. More importantly, because we are going to be so limited with staff, we are limiting the takeout menu to a single cold option. We simply don't have the resources to bag up a large menu and we simply can't deliver hot food. Other departments have agreed to help us in both the dining room and for deliveries and we are of course very grateful for that. The Hive Market remains open as of right now and will feature it's full menu.

And yes, since this is an unexpected buffet we will be featuring free wines at both lunch and dinner.

At Lunch we are featuring a build your own salad bar, shrimp cocktail, soup, steamed lobster, piping hot stew, cheeseburgers and an assortment of pizzas.

At dinner, check out the carved tri tip roast. Tri tip is a great cut of meat, more flavorful than tenderloin but obviously with a more robust texture as well. We will have grilled salmon and roasted chicken as well. so I hope you are able to make it.

Please keep in mind that Friday may be just as difficulty as Thursday and we will need to adjust accordingly. we are already hearing from some of tour younger employees that this shift is up in the air, hopefully I will have an answer by tomorrow afternoon. Thank You all for your patience and understanding, the most important thing for all of us is the safety of our residents and staff alike. Living in Colorado is rarely boring, It may be sunny and mild by Monday.
